Don't have the same gameplay mechanics? Behold:
KillSwitch -

Gears of War -

Gears of War is NOT innovative. The gameplay is in the likings of KillSwitch or Winback, both of which sucked balls.
However, GOW might actually pull off the 'stop and pop' gameplay with considerable flare. Otherwise, until I have a chance to play it, GOW looks like it plays just like KillSwitch and Winback...
I can't wait to see a crash in motion!
I hope they have a trailer for this game at TGS or something...
IGN seemed to like the AI. Read the preview.
To me, GOW (UE 3) looks 'better' than FOM in the same way DOOM 3 looked better than HL2 when they first came out. Though, upon closer examination, I think HL2's source engine is much better looking than DOOM's.
I will buy this game to go along with my awesome PS3 package to sell on eBay. Mmmmmm....
... and probably pick it up later when I get my own PS3. Reading this preview and seeing these screens is getting me pretty excited about this game.
Yeah, wasn't there news about 25 PS3 games. 18 were listed and then 7 or so were supposed to be 'secret'.
Nah, it wasn't rejected, it got approved, but just only as PC news (which nobody looks at).
Oh gee. The news I submitted a month ago seemed to have been right on the money:

Too bad the N4G staff remove the PS3 tag so nobody saw it.
Yeah it'd be cool if this site had a search and tagging function so we could better avoid dupes. I think it will come eventually... and a better gallery viewer for images would be much welcomed, too.
This is a problem that should have been addressed before the game even came out. I can't believe they didn't even check for this problem... And no, 'just buy an HDTV' is not a good solution.
We'll see how the game looks in motion at TGS.
"Posting under fake celeb names"
Biscuits.
These aren't new.
This is on PC, too.
Told you Costco has the best return policy in existence.
"Another attempt to fix the Red/Blue tag bug."
At least they're realistic about it now.
Lovin' it.
Pretty fun stuff. Kind of frantic and doesn't take much skill though.
I'm seriously considering getting one to sell on eBay now.
Just a thought, but, I think the build they had shown at E3 is four months older than the one IGN played for this preview... hmmmmmmm.
